The Schwab friend-referral page publishes awards from $100 to $1,000 for qualifying new clients who use an eligible referral code and make the required net deposit. The largest award requires a net deposit of at least $500,000. The page gives a 45-day funding window and says taxable accounts generally must maintain the qualifying amount, less market losses, for at least one year to avoid a possible chargeback.
| Deposit tier | Award | Award as percent of minimum tier |
|---|---|---|
| $25,000 | $100 | 0.40% |
| $50,000 | $300 | 0.60% |
| $100,000 | $500 | 0.50% |
| $500,000 | $1,000 | 0.20% |
The percentage falls at the largest tier because the deposit rises faster than the award. Taxes, outgoing transfer fees, investment changes, cash drag, and the value of services lost at the former broker can reduce the benefit.
An offer is omitted when the current terms are not publicly verifiable, when it is limited to private targeting, when it requires misleading location information, or when it pays only the publisher without giving the reader clear terms. Omission does not mean a broker never has promotions.
Use the broker bonus break-even calculator to convert the headline award into an estimated net benefit.
